The Staff at St. Augustine’s
Judith Neal, Parish Administrator. Judy stepped into the role of church secretary under the ministry of Father Ned Haines and at his retirement, Judy stayed on to provide the continuity of services that the parish needed. Judy still finds her role at St. Augustine’s to be a joy and her special ministries are the parish family and community. She supports the clergy, the vestry, the lay ministry leaders and members in any capacity needed.
Roscoe Redcross, Minister of Music. Roscoe’s roots grow very deep in St. Augustine’s soil. His parents were members at St. Augustine’s where he and his brother participated in church activities. Roscoe earned a degree in Music Education from Howard University in Washington, D.C. He continued his studies, earning a Master of Arts degree from Teachers College, Columbia University, New York. He and his wife, Dianne are owners and directors of Hampton Academy of Music, Dance, and Drama, Inc.
Dianne Redcross, Director of Youth Music Ministry. Dianne is a native of Bowling Green, Virginia where she grew up with a love of music that was nurtured in the church. Dianne is a graduate of Union High School, Caroline County, Virginia. She is a Howard University graduate in Washington, D.C., where she earned a degree in Music Education and continued her graduate studies at Teachers College, Columbia University, New York. Dianne directs the youth choirs, “Voices of Unity” and “Cherubs & Angels” at St. Augustine’s and at Carver Memorial Presbyterian Church.
David Whitley, Sexton. David is a life-long member of St. Augustine’s having served there as an acolyte in his youth. No job is too small or too large for David to tackle and he takes pride in ensuring the building’s environment is safe and clean. David also serves as a greeter and an usher.
